What is recommended to hold the door glass in window lift channel and the window vent frame? My first thought is the weather strip adheasive but is there something out there that is specific to glass?
Mid-fifty sells "glass seat tape kits" for side and vent windows. 1-800-252-1956. If you have not used mid fifty yet, they are a great to deal with. The ladies there really know there stuff when it comes to these old trucks. Good luck.

Thanks Brain. I have not used Mid-Fifty yet. I will look at their parts. I did, however, buy from LMC Truck last month the door channel lift rubber. It is a single side adheasive cork type thick tape that can be cut to length. This did not seem permanent enough for glass applications.
Stephen, the glass setting tape is all that's used for that application. It's a friction fit and is a permenant as you want it to be. Give it a try before you decide it won't work. Chances are you'll need to be a bit forceful to get it together, so if taking a hammer (or rubber mallet) to glass makes you squeemish, you might wish to seek out professional help. If you have any issues with it not doing the job, then it's the material's fault, not the method. Any local auto glass company would have the correct stuff, as well.
