Do you have a rough ride??? Take a look
This weekend we installed the powerslot rotors, hawk pads, Fox Racing Shoxs and painted my calipers. We started in the rear because that seemed the easiest. Once my brother and I took the brakes apart, we slid further in to begin taking the rear shock off. Low and behold, we found that the shock bar pin had broken/rusted and the top of the shock was against the undercarriage.
Bad picture, but it shows the top of the shock against the undercarriage
Here's the other half of the shock bar pin still attached
Guessing that Ford would not have the part on hand, we decided to make one better.
The other side was bented just alittle.
You tell me which one looks stronger
Here's the finished product with the powerslots, hawk pads, fox racing shoxs and the painted calipers. So if you're dealing with a bone jarring ride, crawl under there and take a look. Now I don't have the rough ride and I'm very pleased how the shoclks perform (Pointed at the Nay Sayers), as I don't haveto worry about my fillings coming out. Granted I'm driving with a 8in lift and close to a 100lb tire/rims.

Is the stock pin just a tube flattened out on the ends? How was it getting the new pins with the larger ends threw the shock rubber? The strength of the new ones will come down to the weld strength. Nice job though!
Just because I have one and can I would have made them out of one piece chromoly on the lathe.
