Well, it took nearly a month to get my new radio, but it came in last week, so today I got a chance to get it installed. Apparently the PO had an after market radio installed to the speaker in the dash. When they took it out they were butchers, and broke and bent things up which took a little work to get it all straight and back together. It is a 200 watter, and I only have speakers in the doors, but that will work all right for me. I even got the ash try light installed that I been holding onto till I got the radio in. Nice to have the dash all back together without that big hole in the dash!

Been listening to satellite radio for so long, that when I went for a test ride, I couldn't believe after every three songs there were a bunch of commericials. Glad this has an imput for satellite!
Very good! Your before pic looks just like the inside of mine, missing radio from a jacked up install and all. I'm getting ready to put the same one in, USA-630??
Does yours have the USB input and have you used it yet? That's what i'm looking forward to...Let me know how it works! Nice job.
Thanks guys, it was a straight forward install. I wanted to keep the old school original look with some of today's features. Shooter, I have not used it yet, but it has RCA jacks and an 1/8 jack for ipod satellite radio, mp3 which I have not had a change to get at yet. I don't remember the model, I want to say USA-230, but don't have the paperwork in front of me. But for now it is just nice to have some tunes in my truck!
looks good man. need to get one for my 79. its got a el cheapo in it.
where did you get it at and does it have a cd player?
I got it through a company in Texas, the manufacture does not deal with the public, but they are based out of California, custom audio sound. I will forward the Texas company info if you like. I am at work now and do not have the information with me.
And no, it does not have a CD player, or cassette, which I wanted to stay away from with this truck. I will hook up the satellite from time to time, and an ipod for recorded music, plus the AM/FM. I didn't want to clutter it up with tapes, or CD's, and with those three music sources, it will work for my needs. It isn't a daily driver, its just a fair weather ride down memory lane for me.
Last month I found a 77 motorhome w/ a Kraco AM/FM Stereo/8-track/CB radio and a bunch of tapes. Haven't tested it yet, but I am planning on putting it into my 77 F100.
