1998 F150 Keyless Entry?

My wife just got a 1998 F150. It didn't come with any remotes for keyless entry, but it is a Lariat and I thought that all Lariats came with this option. Is there any way to tell if it came with the option and just need new remotes vs needing the whole unit?

Keyless entry was a $265 option for the 1998 Model year on the XLT & Lariat F-150.
Check with your dealer to verify if your truck is equipped with it.

Mine is a '98 Lariat and it has keyless entry. But as 1975IH200 said, the only way I know of is giving your VIN to the dealership and having them tell you.

look for a small square box under the dash but the drivers side. That is where the unit is installed. If you have that, than what is required are the key fobs.
