Silly keyless entry question...
As posted in my signature, I have a 2003 F250 Lariat. I bought it used from an auction, and there was no keyless entry remote attached to the keyring. Was keyless entry standard in 03, or an option? Should I go to the dealer and see if they can help? It seems to me like almost every vehicle since 2000 has come with keyless entry pretty standard, so I figured I just need to get a remote and get it programmed.....

Yeah, you can call and give the the serial number and they can tell you it is equipped, it has some simple steps to program it, I cannot remember how , it involved, locking doors and cutting ignition on and off so many times. nothing much to it though, some dealers will give you directions while others will not. I bought the remote for 35 from dealership in Hartsville and they gave me the sheet and let me do it myself. I saw you were in SC why I mentioned that. Good luck wid it!

my 2002 Lariat has the fob, but not the pad on the door but i would like it to. the other day at the service desk i noticed that ford could install the pad on the door for like $125. i like leaving it run and go in to the store to get something, and have it safe.
