4wd not working in rain

4wd not working in rain

I have 03 4.6 auto. when it rains the 4wd dosent work. when dry it works just fine where do I start looking

My guess is there is water dripping on the GEM module under the dash.
This module has prime control of the 4x4 functions.

I'm going to search more into this but just incase I dont find anything. where is this located? on the drivers side or passenger side. and what does it look like? color shape ect. if anyone has pics that would help alot. thanks ahead of time

just one other thing. dont know if it matters, but the 4wd light doen come on when I pull the lever, It just dosent make the front wheels pull. I dont think there is any water getting into the cab though.
