I'm usually online from 12 midnight till around 8AM.

Since I'm retired with no obligations, I can do what I want, whenever I want to, except...when 'She, who must be obeyed' has other ideas.

Since she works 5 days a week, this usually occurs only on weekends.

johr:

I was looking through your gallery again, and noticed that you have a spare wheel carrier in the box on the left hand side. Does it look like this one:

Any chance you could get a measurement from the edge of the front box rail to the front of the bracket or to the center side bolt? I'm hoping that it won't really matter that you have an M100 and I've got an M250, and that we likley have different diameter tires? I'm thinking that you would just brace the tire on the fender well, and then spin it until the carriage bolt lines up with a rim hole?

Dan K - To the center of the carrier to the edge of the front box measures 15 inches, or 16 1/2 inches to the front of the bed. Hope this helps. I haven't put a tire on the carrier yet to see how close it comes to the wheel well, but hope to as soon as I get a rim.

C4TZ1405A .. Spare Tire Carrier-Bed Mounted-Use w/Styleside Pickups / Obsolete

Fits: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1967/72 F100/350.

Will not fit the 1957/60 wrong beds installed on some 1961/66 F100/350's.

This was an optional accessory available factory installed (was installed on the left [drivers] side, in front of the rear wheel) or at the parts counter.

Anyone interested in one...or two?

C4TZ1405A =

FREESE MOTORS in Monticello IA has ONE = 319-065-3541.

BOWMAN SALES & SERVICE in Bowman ND has ONE = 701-525-3257.

Guess this must be the month for tire carriers. Got mine in from Carpenter's. Definitly a NOS piece that's been laying on the shelf for 45+ years. Even had an old shipping tag on it.
Amazingly enough, given the design of a flat plate with 4 round strut rods, after all that time kicking around the shelves, the thing bolted right up to the existing holes in my bed side.
Now my spare is where it belongs and my truck has a "complete" feeling. Not restored, mind you, just not missing anything.
