Hey guys i have some 16.5x 12 Weld supersingles for my truck that i love but tire selection is horrible, so im looking for some 17x12 or even better 17x14 Super singles. If you know of any please let me know. Thanks!
I saw a set somewhere on Craigslist about 4 months ago. I've been searching for ONE 17x10 Weld Sandstorm wheel for the last 6 months because I have 3 brand new in boxes at home and I would like to complete the set for my OBS. I have been keeping an eye on Ebay and craigslist both. Just in case you aren't doing so already, you need to search craigslist using a search engine that searches all of craigslist and use broad searches and deal with looking through meaningless junk. I have been using search tempest and zoom the list. I've trying to search every couple of days. Once you've looked enough, you know what you've already looked at, so it gets quicker.
I just ran a quick search for you. There's nothing on Ebay and my Weld wheel contact doesn't have any either. Super Singles and Sandstorms are both getting VERY hard to find.
Thanks for the info! I actually have been using the search tempest too and haven't been coming up with anything. There's some more 16.5s and stuff in my area..but that does me no good. Interco is pretty much my only choice...so I do have some more 38" tsl's on order..but for the future I don't always wanna run tsl or SSR, and the trxus may or may not ever even be available again.
The sandstorm looks similar to the super singles but with larger holes right? I will keep an eye out for your 17x10 sandstorm as well
Yeah. This is one of my sandstorms... I have to have 8x170 lug pattern because I am swapping to '05+ axles.
The super singles are closer to looking like factory OBS Alcoa's. The sandstorms have larger holes. I'll keep an eye out for some super singles. Make sure that you're searching all of the U.S on Craigslist.
Fwiw, you really have a few tires you can run on those 16.5s
I have the Weld SSs as well and know the routine..
Rodney Feltz has 80/90/and I believe 100% 16.5s in 3 styles. IMHO prices are decent for tires that wear good...
No need to go 17 if you don't want to spend the coin.. I love swampers too but even the SSRs seem to go fast, I had a set on my last crew cab.. Those hummer take-offs seem to be pretty prevalent on Craig's List..
