I installed a array of gauges on my 2000 excursion with a 7.3 diesel and automatic trans, i think its a 4r100 or something towards them letters and numbers.. hehe
Anyhow i put my sending unit in the test port and it seems to me my trans temps are low for city driving, well compared to a chevy i had a gauge in one time, i get from 140 - 160F (highest ive seen so far city or highway, not towing but excursions are 8400 lbs of umph to move themselves) and what im wondering is are these temps normal, and what are others getting, because it seems everyone is always adding on additional coolers to the trans..
i got my ex used so it may have an additional cooler for all i know..
