Air Filter Mods

I would like to replace my factory air filter, but I have been Highly advise against K&N due to the oil. ANY reccommendations???

Also any Known Mods to the filter box.....I DO NOT want to install a Cold air intake.

cut the air silencers off tape to patch or plastic weld if you have the stuff - replacement filter is larger (deep) that factory filter.

I have had a K&N oil filter in my truck since 5K and now at 40K not a problem. It may have added something (mileage/power) but I can't tell. The only advantage is I don't have to buy filters for awhile just clean it. Chris

For $13, why not use a MC filter? A/M isn't going to improve performance.

yes there are four air silencers on the 2010 FX4 - it will make it louder if removed. No performance gain. The MAF can adjust 5% in any direction so it is a sound only mod.
