i took the turbo off and cleaned it and took the egr up pipe and welded a plate in it to block the exhaust from getting in to the egr i put it all back together and it dosnt have the power it used to. and theres a blowing sound when i get about 2000 rpms all the clamps are tight and the y pipe is on straight and the exaust pipe is on there straight and tight. i can feel a little air blowing from the y pipe from the heat sheld were the rivit is any ideas what could be leaking or wrong ????
Well I did the delete kit to my 04 and removed all of that. However, I did notice that the blue rubber boot on the turbo had a crack in it. That caused my issue, but since you removed your turbo, you should have seen if this was the case. Your Y pipe could be worn out or rusted thru. You might need to remove it and see if this is the case. I do have mine that I didnt reinstall if you are needing that part.
i checked every thing and the boots and pipes all looked good when its sitting there running you can not hear it but when im driving with the windos up i can i was wondering if it was because the egr is blocked and the exhaust flow is diffrent now
mine didnt change i think i have a cracked y pipe i will be taking it all apart today to see if i cant figure it out my dads buddies truck has a major whistle and he has the same truck year make and model
