Dirty, crudy oil can cause it to stick. You usually don't have to replace it, you can just take it apart and clean it.
I did switch over to synthetic not to long ago. After the switch my HPOP res statered to drain down and now this problem. The oil is only about a thousand miles old but I am starting to think
I might have some crud in my oil.......

Did you previously check & clean the connection to the ICP ?
I never did clean the connection but it did look ok. But I will clean it anyway. As far as the code I got that was probably from when I started it with the ICP unplugged. I am going to clean it and assume if the code don't come back the connection is good.

Maybe. When I removed the plug it was about a inch and a half below the top. Not sure where it should be. The first time it happend a few months ago the rez was empty. Could a sticking IPR cause a leak down?

IPR cannot cause the leak .. Injector O ring , & of course the pressure relief valve under the oil filter are a couple of reasons

Before I go spending 400 bucks on a new IPR I think I am going to try to take mine apart and clean it. Will I have to remove the fule filter housing to get that ****** out? Maybe just the FPR?
Yes, that's what he said. I think Scatgo next question is about how to clean it. Wasn't there a write up on that lately? I have an old one that I need to clean.
