Hard to say. If Ford is doing the flush, then I would have to believe that they changed the filter also.
If the filter truly hasn't been changed since day 1, then I could see how you could have some particles that could possibly cause issues.
BTW - the 180-185 degree temps really aren't that bad. But you should always get to know your truck and its standard operating conditions. That way when you see a change, you can investigate it early!
thanks man, I am changing out the filter this morning and taking her for a ride. I am also just about due for an oil change so I am going to do both at the same time. I will keep you posted after I take a good ride. It was also pretty hot and humid yesterday as well so that could have something to do with it.

Both times I have mine flushed at the dealership, they did not change the filter. They say it is only changed when requested. I just change it myself for less money and know it actually got done.
