P1151

Just got a cel with this code and had it scanned, looks like a lot of different things could cause this. History, replaced tps, idle air, cleaned Mas air flow ( a while back). Does anyone know what the usual cause or most prevelant is? No other codes with this!!

P1151 cause could be a number of things. Read through & check this list of things & let us know what you find.

building on what pawpaw said. if it was my truck i would change the fuel filter and add some techron to the tank, possibly start cleaning out the egr, check fuel pressure, check connection on the o2 sensor...etc.....

Sorry I didnt put all the info. My truck is a 2000 extend cab, 4wd, auto, 4.0 motor. I changed the fuel filter last fall. It seams like this ll51 code is a catch all code. Thought it would be a little more exact with having a pcm with codes. Had the cel reset and 2 days later it came on again. Runs fine, no misses, but mileage dropped probably 2 to 3 miles per gallon. I drive it 110 round trip every day to work, so I check mileage almost every day!!!
