PHP FU Chip

A buddy of mine keeps telling me to buy the FU Chip. If anyone happens to have one installed. Do you like it? Would you recommend it? how long did it take them to ship it?

thanks,

Sam

Didn't go with the FU package, but I am really happy with my Pheonix Chip.

Bill is a stand-up guy. Seems like I bug him, Cody, and Corey nonstop. But they are always very friendly and helpful. His tuning is nice, and runs smooth and strong. If you're considering PHP, give them a call.

I got the Phoenix chip 1st and then the burner. Pretty sweet to login and have my choice at FREE tunes to burn to my chip. That said, 80 daily driver is all I use 10 1/2 months a year. The remainder of the year I use 65 tow for 4400 miles pulling the 5th wheel. Oh, and stock for cold winter starts.

You will be happy. Bill knows his stuff and Corey is an absolute sweetheart.

I wish they had the decel tune. But I also like what I hear about PHP. I don't have one yet but still up in the air between PHP and DP.

Question for the PHP guys, whats the difference between their 80HP daily driver and the 80HP Performence tune? Not sure if I get the 80 daily and 100 performence or just jump right to the 120 race. Also since the TS only holds 6 tunes and the stock tune is normaly free do I only get charged for 5 tunes even though I would be filling the chip? Sorry for so many questions but I e-mailed them a few times and got no reply back.

I have the PHP FU and freekin love it I don't know how many times I have changed tunes. Some tunes I thought I would like and didn't and was able to try others I liked more, having the option to change tunes is great.

An example I can tow in 80hp tune, but I am having an injector issue (I think it UVCH related and need to look at I when I get 5 min. free time) and my tunes have been running little higher than usual EGT's so I can load a a 40, 65 hp tow instead....................

The 80 perf has a little more smoke and agressive shifts I can hardly tell the difference, I like the 120 race over the 100-120 perf. and the 140 extreme gets me to high into the egts and have to back off.

However if you get an FU package you can try what works for you and your truck. Now not to get anyone to excited as every PCM is different I have a around IIRC 40+ tunes alot are doubles, and are in 2 groups lots that are not listed IE smoke in multiple HP setting different high rpm settings listed, I am lovin it....................

I started with DP, tried PHP tunes (Phoenix chip) and now I'm back with DP tunes and much happier. To each their own, and I wish you the best with it. Doesn't hurt to try different chips... except in the wallet!

I'm thinking about trying TW tunes next. Cool thing is if I want to go back to PHP, all I have to do is reburn my chip

Very nice product Dianne. How much does it cost to receive and burn other DP tunes to it? Can the F8 be burned with other tuner's tunes?

Jason, I have a write up in the vendors section, you'll have to look there.

Jody will not email tunes unless they are encrypted. However, there is software we can recommend to you that will allow you to receive tunes from Jody encrypted and burn to the chip.

Diane
