Having the alignment checked after changing ball joints makes about as much sense as having the tire pressure checked after a ball joint replacement. Sure, it may be good to make sure it's right. But nothing you did would have made it go bad... Again, a ball joint is not adjustable.
Yeah but this past February we had a big ice storm and I ran off the rode and hit a ditch at about 20 or 25. And it wasn't no little bitty ditch either, it was a dang gully. Didn't mess the body up at all somehow but definately did work on the alignment. Just now got the money up to do the ball joints and I couldn't do the alignment until I got them done. So that's why I'm havin an alignment done.

Absolutely, if your getting technical...then changing ball joints will not effect alignment. I was just saying that its a good idea to do as well as any other front end work while your already elbow deep in it.
Well, sure. If you have reason to believe that the alignment is out of whack, it makes sense to get it checked. So get any known bad parts, like ball joints or tie rods fixed first. And you might want to get your rim checked out too, to make sure it survived the impact. I once slid into a curb at 5mph in a Dodge Shadow and bent all kinds of stuff on that corner, including the rim.

I'll have it checked out while they do the alignment definately. I didn't even think about that happening.
