'01 Electrical Failure
Hey all, need a little help with a 2001 4x2 small V8 that appears to be having some sort of complete electrical failure. After returning home from work 2 days ago without issue, I got in a half hour later and found the truck completely dead. It made no effort to turn over at all and all electrical function is offline. I replaced the battery about a year ago, and don't think that is the problem although I haven't had it tested. There is also a consistent clicking sound coming from the fusebox area under the steering column even now, more than a day after a last tried to crank the engine. Any thoughts???

can you turn the head llights on and they work o.k.? turn the key to the run position, not the start.. what is the volt meter say ? Do the turn signals work in the run position ? All these tell you if the battery is good or not. If everything (lights) work, and the motor will not crank or solenoid click, then you got trouble with the key, neutral start switch, etc... does the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key "on".?
