I don't know. You might have to change headlights too. Lemme look in my LMC catalog and compare part numbers and I'll post up what I figure out. There's gotta be a way to get it done......
Man, from what I'm seeing, you should be able to buy a grill, bumper, bumper pad, and lower valance and you'll be good to go. The catalog shows the same hood, fenders, radiator support, and headlights from 97-03. The part numbers change a bit in the cab area, but I'm not sure why. But for what you're wanting to do, you could do the swap pretty easy.........
Sweet! Thanks a lot! I woulda looked myself buy my lmc nevr showed up for this truck. Man that's great news. Now when I'm fixin the rust this summer I can slap a new bumper on and get it into the paint booth!
my 97 has PS front end damage, do I need to swap the whole front end or are parts inter-changable
are any of the 97-03 bumpers painted or all they are chrome.
I need to replace the PS fender, headlight header panel and PS headlight along with the PS mirror.
Found a bunch of mix and matched parts from various years at salvage yards and CL - just not certain if they are inter-changable with each other, is there a website / chart that lists what fits or will any 97-03 parts match up to each other with in that year range ?
Early '97's, made before 7/96 IIRC, have a different header panel than '97-'03's. IF you have the later, which has the removable headlights/marker lights with the tabs you can use any grille from '97-'03. As for the bumper if you go with a '99-03 you need to buy the '99+ brackets. If you are more visual like me go to LMCtruck and look at the blown up pictures of all the parts for the two different styles.
