Maybe a stupid question, but for those of you running 10W30 in the winter, where do you get it? I have called my local NAPA and been to the other auto parts stores including the 'big truck' place, and no one can get me the Rotella-T in 10W30. I live on the east end of Long Island, NY. Been a cold winter and I have had the loaping issue with my 01 F250. Im curious to see if the 10W-30 will cure it. Running 15W-40 now.
If Napa carries the 15w40 they should be able to order you 10w30 RotellaT. If you can't obtain it there, go to your local Ford dealer they should have it. It will be Motorcraft oil, I can post the Motorcraft p/n Wed am.
Muchas gracias guys. Napa swears they can't order it for me. Ditto with the other places that sell the 15W-40. They tell me that their distributor doesn't carry the stuff. Guess I will have to try the dealer.
I have seen 10w30 Rotella T here in Colorado at Carquest. I don't know how far East they go, but they ordered it in special for a customer. If Shell makes it (and they do), I don't see why a store that sells Shell couldn't get it. Maybe they need an incentive....?
try going to a big rig shop. i work at a freightliner dealer, and we have it in an 800gal. tank. TA truck stop right next to us has it too....im sure a shop would fill a bucket for you at thier price, wich might be a bit more, but then you will have it....right? just a thought.
