Glad you found your trouble. Mine did the same thing, replaced cps, no help. Ended up a blown fuse from a wire grounded to the shock mount on the driver side thus blowing fuses which also ran the computer. This also gave about the same symptoms as a bad cps.

My truck acutally runs better on the new grey CPS. I have both, the grey and the black and keep the black one as a spare in the glovebox.

CPS

International has the cps cheaper (at least in Tx). I would bet thats what it is. See if your tach moves when you turn it over.

I have same problem but with ford f250 with the 6.0

Is the cps the problem with mine? I've also been told the icp sensor could be my problem?

You can unplug the ICP sensor and run the truck without out. That will tell you if your ICP sensor is the issue.

If not, perhaps start another thread with a different subject line. The one above grabs a lot of attention from the FTE as we don't want anyone stranded.

my 04 f250 is doing the same thing.. We were stuck on the side of the road watching you tube videos on it trying to get it started.. I unplugged the icp sensor and we got it running again eventually. It still sputters alot, its lost power and dies on me many times but usually starts back up easily. Could this be the same issue?

had this happen to a friends truck, had to go rescue. Fuel pump died. It would build 30psi veeeeeryyy slowly so the truck would start and run. Hit "go" peddle and pressure would drop to zip.
