A bad EGR valve should not cause a no-start. So I don't think that is your issue, and discussion of an EGR delete should wait until you have the issue resolved.
Possible no-start issues include low fuel pressure, low oil pressure (HPOP or a related component called an STC fitting), FICM, injectors, and more. Your best bet is going to be a visit to the dealer for a diagnostic.
A few simple questions would be, how long since you had the fuel filters and oil changed?

chances are your code reader isnt capable of reading all the Ford codes that could potentionaly be there..
i'd say take it to a dealer and have it sorted. no point owning a truck you dont feel safe to use...
