Can I drop my trans
in the driveway using drive on ramps so I can replace my TC.
I need to buy a trans jack and either some ramps or up grade my jack stands.
I do have some old cinderblocks laying around

It would be possible. Many years ago I pulled and refitted a C6 like that, but with a helper. And the E4OD is a huge trans. with around 17qts of fluid in it. Also I wouldn`t be happy with cinder blocks but maybe i`m over cautious. I also had a second jack to go under the engine.
If you do go for it make sure the new torque converter is fully seated in the trans before you bolt everything up.

You might get it out, but getting it back in....

Call me chickenfeathers about stuff like this, but I would have a shop do it.
Plus, you need to replace your TC because.....?

Don't the rental shop still rent good trans jacks?
I did a tranny drop way back using a rental jack and it was slick. Way safer than blocks.
The tranny is heavy, you don't want it to slip.

Was kidding about the cinder blocks.
The truck is throwing code 728. Torque converter clutch slippage. I've got all four gears but no lock up. It shifts real nice until it codes and boosts line pressure and I have to keep resetting it.
I'm gonna try just a TC first. I'll have to buy one anyway if it needs to be rebuilt. Maybe I'll get lucky.

If a new TC doesn't fix it at least the solenoid pack can be done with the trans in place.
