thanks and sorry for the newbie question.

I would say watch the forum and when someone tells us the upgraded "Tune" is out go to your dealer and ask for it.

I bet the boys at SCT, Spartan, etc. hate to hear about this.
I can just imagine their next engineering meeting....
....800lb/ft is now our stock setting,
so we need to put out.....900? 1000?
This is going to be fun to watch.

Oh, I think they have been aware of this possibility from day one. Ford was the early bringer of 2011 performance numbers. Speculation started right after they were announced.

Agreed... It was obvious Ford raised the bar over the 6.4 to entice new 6.7 buyers, but they still had to sell the 6.4's that was in inventory. If they offered these kind of power numbers from the start they would have to give the 6.4's away in order to move them off the lots.

Yep... Get ready I believe Ford will be on top of the diesel food chain farely soon!

Troy,

I don't know if you saw my post on the dealership I bought the new truck from. They claim to be the largest F series dealer in the USA. I belive them. They had over 150 6.7 trucks in stock when I bought mine. They had 56 2010 6.4 trucks. They are selling 6.7's at about 10 to 1 over the 6.4. This was told to me by the salesman a week or so after I bought mine.

Right before i got my truck they had a local dealership had a kingranch 450 2010 that they had marked $21,000 off sticker. It didnt last long but it was 69k i think for sticker. That dealership never got any 2011's at that location and now is moved a few hours away. Couldnt tell you if there kickin out some major discounts on 2011's

The rebates on 2010 depend on your residence location. For Michigan, it was $6500 when I bought mine. The problem was if you took the 0% financing they took away the rebates. I think they will have to change that before the 2010's will really begin to move. It is not helping the 2010's that the 6.7 is doing so well/
