88 4.9 died no start
i was driving today and it just died. no restart. runs on starting fluid. fuel pump not running, jumped power to it and it still wont start. replaced ing module,still no start. did the ecm fail?????? thanks for the help......wade

Are you saying it will start with starting fluid? If so, you don't need an ignition module. Your problem is fuel. If you are saying the fuel pump is not running, I think you answered your own question. You jumped power to the fuel pump? I'm having a hard time understanding your post. Don't throw any more parts at it until you figure out what is wrong.

MAke sure you have 12v to the injectors, I believe the eec power relay supplies this. If you have 12v then you probably arent getting injector pulse from the ecm, wich would most likely be a bad ecm.
