Vacuum on 351M
Hello everyone, how much vacuum am I supposed to have on my rebuilt 351M out of a 78 F150 2bbl 4WD? Everything is stock and no emissions.

I am getting a steady 16 on mine, it has never been rebuilt and only God knows how miles are on it.

19-21 steady inches at idle is ideal.

Not sure where you live but you'll drop 1" of vacuum for every 1,000 ft. in elevation, e.g. a vacuum reading of 21" in Seattle is equivlent to 16" of vacuum in Denver.
