Hey guys I was looking at buying the rest of the components to finish my MII setup from these guys and was wondering if anybody had some buying experience with them? JPL street rods on Ebay
Hello. I bought a specialty power windows universal wiper kit via ebay for my 53. No problems. Prompt delivery & correspondance was good...... I asked for an invoice so they scanned a handwritten copy and sent it to me via email with contact info. Regards.
i almost bought a M11 front end kit from them but ended up buying from Chassis Engineering.I talked to JPL a few times and they seemed like good guys to deal with. They have pretty good prices on their stuff.
Sorry to report that JPL did me bad, very bad! They broke a previous agreement, (shipping) and would not offer to correct their mistake (or even talk about it) that ended up costing me extra cold hard cash. Details available upon request if you like. I have bought well over $ 3000.00 from other suppliers since and nothing from them, it sucks to be them!
I hate to dig up an old post. But I'm not too happy with this company right now. I made a rather large order from this bunch about 11 days ago. It was on a Friday. The guy was very helpful and said that they had the components in stock and they would most likely be shipped the upcoming Monday after the weekend. One item was coming from the factory and they told me it was ready to go as well and would drop ship separately from them. So here we are 11 days later and I thought I'd give them a call and get a shipping update considering I've aggravated the UPS man every single day here at work. The guy put me on hold and came back to tell me that it would probably be at least another week before anything is shipped. And, oh yeah, they never hesitated to charge the complete amount to my credit card 11 days ago. I'm not in a hurry, but I don't like being misled and jerked around either. I let him know about it as politely as I could manage. So beware, and don't laugh too hard, when they tell you that the parts are in stock and will go out the next business day. They advertise free shipping. That's a great thing, but it doesn't give you a license to mislead your customers.
In my case, they lied to me, I asked if my order could be shipped via USPS (postal) and “yes, sure thing, no problem” ! Got a call a week later from UPS, who are hell on wheels for their high fees into Canada, this was not custom charges. Called JPL, “sorry can’t help you”. They SUCK!
You know. I am sure I'll get my parts. And I can be a good boy and stay calm while those people have nearly 2000 dollars of my money and I have nothing yet. I wouldn't have cared very much at all if they had just said up front that there will be a pretty good wait. But I just simply don't like being mislead. I'm sure they're a pretty good company, but they need to get their realistic ducks in a better row. At this point, it's just simply an inconvenience. But I consider you guys my friends, and I thought you ought to know.
Reed1951. I purchased a Mustang II kit from them. I called them and they were good to talk with on the phone. They shipped the kit fast and just as they said. My experience was a good one.
I bought a firewall mount brake pedal, master cylinder, booster, and valve from them. Good communication, fast shipping, and great price, so my experience was good.
My order showed up with 8 or 10 catalogs for all the major parts places (ididit, chasis engineering, billet specialty, etc), so the free reading literature to look through was icing on the cake for me. Wasn't expected, didn't cost me, and beat calling or filling out a catlog request online for all those places.
