460 in a 63 what headers do i need

460 in a 63 what headers do i need

I am putting a bored and stroked 460 in a 63 stepside with a mustang II front IFS . Has anyone here tryed this and if so what year model headers would work. I have removed the old rear engine mount and will start the engine mount fabercation soon. Just thought i would put this out there and see if i get a responce.

Only thing that will work with a POS MII is shorty's or stock manifolds. It is hit and miss as to what will fit. You may need to buy ten pair before you find one that fits.

Thanks for the info looks like i will be heading the hit or miss road. I was hoping someone had already tryed and new what worked for them. I guess there is always the buid them yourself sets .

well i have seen some kits for sale where you cut them yourself. i can cut them and that them together and i have a friend who can tig them for me, and if i need more pipe there is a muffler shop close by and he is pretty cool so he would bent some pipes for me. i ask him to build me a set but he says it takes to much time and ties up his racks.
