I fixed up a 2005 rollover and when I found a rear window for it the only one the wreckers had was originally an electric rear slider, I am not planning to install any of the electrical and will just open/close it manually, only problem is that there is no latch and the window does not lock shut, anyone know where I could find an aftermarket latch to lock this rear glass shut? (I tried some other wreckers but they do not want to just sell me the latch which I understand, I havent tried the stealership because I assume somebody muight make a universal latch that will be alot cheaper than a new ford peice.)
Dorman OE Solutions - Ford Truck Sliding Rear Window Latch #37176993 - Found it (8-14-2010) My truck is 1990 and has plastic parts that fit over the glass and allow them to interlock, with this piece screwed in on top. If it didn't, and ALL double pane sliding vent windows might be better repaired by doing what you dreamed in your last post rvx290 because you could install a hasp with glass epoxy over "U" plastic edging on the glass to prevent chipped edges.
Same as on my '77 factory slider, I've replaced it a time or two and have a couple spares hangingh in the shop. Have reglued the chanel a couple times.
Guess they cut off the pre '79 trucks to shorten the app. list?
