vibration/squeeling?

ok maybe u can help maybe not.. but ill try.
i have a 2004 f350 5.4L lifted 8.5 38inches ss. the issue i am having and its driving me bonkers is it started a mnth ago. when u take off it would make a metal on metal squeak sound and disapear. and at 45mph if u had light throttle on ud get a hell of a squeel until u let off of it. just replaced the carrier bearing all fluids are good. got under the truck had my other half pull it up and back and the noise is comming from the center of the truck still.. only things there are the carrier bearing and the transfer case. i dont feel its the ujoints but what im concerned about is it being the transfer case.. now at 45mph at half throttle the truck will vibrate and shake the mirrors not violently yet but soon im sure until u let off the throttle or u give her more gas.. anyone have a clue or had the same issues? any help would b great thanks guys.

I know you don't feel it's a u-joint, but it sounds like a u-joint to me.

well a question then if persay it was a u-joint wouldnt it do it all the time? or most the time? then again i guess that would make sense when u let off the gass u dont have torque behind it so it would b kinda smooth i guess. but it only does it at about 45ish other speeds theres no vibration or sounds. thats why i was kinda clueless

It only takes a few minutes to drop the driveline and eyeball the u-joint up close and personal like. Then once you've introduced yourself you might as well replace it if there's any doubt about trustworthiness.

Well if you're like me just turning wrenches on your truck is recreational. Shoot, I think up stuff to do just cause I love it so much!

yep i agree.. well good news bad news. good news is i replaced the rear shaft ujoints and the squeak is gone. so now i feel better i can grease all my fittings.. bad news is the vibration is still there at 45.. BUT when i engaged the 4wd hi the vibration is there no matter what speed.. but before i go to far on it i need to replace the pvh. (pressure vacuum hub-lock) solenoid. cuz i have to keep my hubs locked in cuz it went bad and my ac defaulted to the windshield. so will see after i get that this weekend if that fixed that issue. will keep u informed.. thanks again

well friends i finally got around to getting the new pvh solenoid put it in and instinct relief cold ac out the front vents. no more defrost for me.. BUT couriousity got the best of me. got home decided to lift the front end up. started with the passenger side the vibration that i was feeling is because i have no front wheel bearings..... called the stealership up and the want 460 for a new one.. went to my old trust website autopartswarehouse(dot)com and the have the same for 173.00 . http://img.eautopartscatalog.com/liv...1703483TIM.JPG .. now my question is, is it hard to replace and do i need any special tools to remove the hubs like older models or anyone have any suggestions? thanx all
