windshield keeps breaking?
so i have a 79 f100 and the guy installing my glass is on the 5th windshield and two gaskets, last two he has only needed about 6 inches to get it in, anyone know any problems and how to get it in? the guy said there is some welding areas toward the bottom which could be causing the glass not to fit correctly?

Ha ha ha, that is exactly what I was going to say. Take it to someone else that knows what they are doing. Unless you have had some repair work done on the cab all the openings are the same. It is one of the simplest windshields to install.

I have never installed one, but soon I will have the chance to install two of them, as both my 68 F100 2wd and my 74 F100 4x4 need glass. It would be interesting to hear how he is trying to do his install (step by step).

What is he using to installe it with, a pry bar of some sort ? That will be a no no. Like 'ranger429'said it's an easy one to do. If you want a hard one , try instaling one in a 56 ford passenger car ,front or back .
