Mark, just had a BP water pump in, upgraded Ford OEM oil cooler, coolant flush,& new thermostat... Already had the BP EGR on it

My Scangauge was around 193-5 ECT and 214-220 EOT

I am getting very stable readings with no wild variations....

Looking at your above reading for Tuners.... does this look OK?

How or what were you doing at the time these were taken?

The EOT seems too high. For just having the oil cooler done, those ECT and EOT readings should be closer. Again, depending on what you were doing.

I'm wondering about this:

How or what were you doing at the time these were taken?

The EOT seems too high. For just having the oil cooler done, those ECT and EOT readings should be closer. Again, depending on what you were doing.
Just driving highway speeds up to 75 mph and in-town on surface streets

OK I also posted this on the other thread....

I'm apparently NOT a good date entry clerk...

OK... Never ask me to do any data entry for you guys! My MTH value I entered for the EOT was entered wrong!

Just did a drive on the freeway and my delta was never more than an 8 degree spread....

ECT was anywhere from 191-195 and EOT was anywhere from 194-199

All is well again with the world.... LOL

AmDriven.... you get a star !!!

ECT EOT

Hey Guys, I am following what's being laid down. And I am noting that I am running HOT on the ECT. So running around local 40-55 surface roads I am seeing ECT hit my alarm at 226-232 . And EOT will be 196-204. This just started happening. I'll hit the freeway and I'll drop back in to the ECT 204-212 doing 75-80MPH and EOT will kind basically balance out in that same range.

Had the truck flushed this winter. I run and Edge CS in Performance. EGR delete, K&N Filter, otherwise stock '06 f250 King Ranch FX4 package.

Any thoughts? Getting nervous on that ECT.

Confirm accuracy of the ECT sender. It should read the same as EOT after cold soaking overnight.

Symptoms suggest a problem with the fan clutch. Either bad, or possibly disabled because of the tune/egr delete. Do you ever hear the fan rev up when it is running hot? You should hear it, and it sounds somewhat like an F-16 preparing for takeoff.

You need a custom tune to compliment that EGR delete, and the Edge probably does not properly handle that.

Hmm, I'll look into the fan clutch. Had the tuner in and on for two years now, never had the issue before. Was also thinking maybe thermostat was getting old?

Anyone custom tunes for the Edge; looks like Powerhouse quit.

What year/mileage is your truck? Early years had potential water pump issues (showing up as miles went up mostly) as well as what Mark has pointed out on the fan.

That's a lot of miles for any water pump, but certainly the Fan would be #1 on my list, #2 (because it's easier) would be Thermostat and then we're down to things like coolant pump and radiator clogging. Do you have a coolant filter or flush coolant regular enough?

Flushed it less then 5 months ago...

I feel like I have disappearing coolant as well. Not blowing out on motor, and no real white smoke out tailpipe. No water in oil etc. But I noticed my res was basically empty, and my upper rad hose seemed empty too. Right after I shut the truck off this morning. So, after work going to buy some fluids.

I might be an IDIOT and just totally missed that it's low on coolant.
