I too have noticed that, when the Boost number "seems" right, it is 15 less than the MAP. I think I too am going to give up on Boost and maybe monitor MAP.

I am adding GlowShift EGT and Fuel Pressure also. I think I will add Boost to it and make it a Tripod.

on the boost it says (27-28 severe service) does that mean if it reaches there or if it makes it to there under heavy acceleration...i noticed last night when i got on it that it reached 30+ but just for a second.... does this mean something wrong??

Your post needs to be at least 10 characters, and the ones you insert within a quote do not count.

To answer the question within the quote, if that was yours, mine will normally only hit 29#, but once in a while after a downshift under full throttle it may hit 30#, but only for an instant before the PCM knocks it back down to a safe level of 28-29. I consider that just an overshoot, and not an issue.

What are the advantages of Edge 2 and Scangauge compared to each other?

Edge, with extra probes, will or can be expanded to include Fuel pressure and EGT's.

Scangauge II can not.

But, as inexpensive as the Scangauge II is. A person could install regular fuel pressure and EGT gauges with the money you have left over.

Edge with the 2 probes is pushing $600

Scangauge II $160 and currently can read a lot more than Edge.

my EOT was at a steady 220 degrees today..... about 25 or 30 above the coolant.... is this bad? i just bought my 6.0 and i am wondering why this is... these numbers are based on the sg2

Sounds like your oil cooler is plugged. If so, it needs to be replaced. Your coolant system probably needs flushing as well.

Just make sure you confirm that the temps are within a couple degrees when cold so that you know they are accurate when hot.

Just noticed the initial post with all the temps and preeure info seems to be all jumbled up... Dunno what happened but cannot make sense out of any of the jargin thats in there... Can anyone else re-install the temps and pressure charts to make it easier for a guy to read???? Maybe Bismic has a copy saved somewhere....
