Is that some kind of "thermocoupler tube" to move the pyrometer sensor/pigtail away from the manifold? I haven't installed mine yet (need to make time for it)...but your photo brings an interesting thought to mind if that's what you've really got going.

I have a blue heeler to Dang good dogs he does try and herd the kids on there bikes
But Boy they are SMART and pick up stuff fast
I shock collar trained him to the property line best thing I ever did
250 dollars everytime the dog catcher gets my neibors dog they were 1200.00 last summer cause there dog breaking out
cheezit I think you should go with the 03 turbo I love that whistle IMHO they are the best sounding ones
Is there a big diffrence in 03 to an 06 turbo besides the whistle didnt they add a vein too probably some other stuff

this engine is a virgin.stock all,EGR,OIL COOLER,NO STUDS. engine is out wonder if any thingh I should to it before put back in.my 6.0 on the f350. heavy houling truck Hydro lock on me and bend connecting rods.Some good mechanic told me not do EGR delite. just put in a better EGR ,OIL cooler. no need for studs he said. can I take one head bolt at a time and replace with new studs .please any one can answer this.good day......... fiddle in tn.
