It's vehicle specific. In total their enhanced features read that many parameters, but you aren't going to get that many parameteres on a single vehicle or model of vehicle.

For instance, it reads Alcohol % in fuel. That would be a gasser PID, not a diesel one. But it's still listed as a PID that it would read in the Ford parameters. It also reads fuel pressure, but our trucks don't come with that PID, yet it's listed because there are Fords that do have that PID that it can read.

“So in a nut shell the Dashdaq straight out of the box will read the above PIDS? Then later I can buy the “Complete Ford/Mazda Enhanced Parameters”?”
The correct answer is YES.
Sorry for the bad information before.
It sucks to eat your own words! “I thought I was wrong once, but as it turns out I was mistaken.”
Ken,Thanks for the PM,I really appreiciate it!I did end up buying the DD and I think you were right in your first post.I didn't buy any extra's and I can only read 27 PIDS.I can't read EOT,TFT or boost.I called Drew T. Twice And they said I would beable too read all those in the generic pids but I can't read them.So I guess my next step is to buy the Ford enhanced pids for $95.

Something isn't right then. I was able to read EOT, TFT without getting the enhanced PIDs. I've never looked for boost, so I never tried and I have the enhanced PIDs now, so it doesn't do much good on that now. However, you should be able to read EOT and TFT now.

I have something you can try. First, make sure you have the DD connected to the truck with the key on. Go to “Setup”, “Devices” then “Manager”. Make sure you have “Ford Specific (on j1962)” listed as a device. Mine did not when I received it, you just have to add it. At the same time, remove “Generic OBD2 (on j1962)”. Then generic just duplicates what the ford specific finds. Then go under “Setup”, “Devices” then “Parameters” scroll to “Ford Specific”. Then change “Complete Signal List:” to “2”. You can go as high as 7 and it will show you everything that the DD is capable of but the items that will cost you more will be grayed out. Now scan for your new signals. It should find what you are looking for. Hope this helps.

Ken you are the man!!!I thought you said you weren't a pro?I had no idea you could/had too put it on "Ford Specific".I went ahead and did what you said and I ended up with 183 PIDS vs the 27 I got before. Now I can't see all 183 PIDS but I can read EOT and TFT as I couldn't before.

Thank you so much...I was about to throw the DD out the window!

In regards to boost,I don't really need it on the DD as I have the stock gauge for it,But I don't see boost on the list.Out of curiousity is it listed on the DD as some kind of pressure instead of saying boost?

Reps sent!

Glad to hear it worked for you.
The boost pressure is listed as “Manifold Gauge Pressure” (MGP psi).
Let me know when you log some data with it. I have logged data towing and just driving down the road and would like to compare how my truck is doing compared to someone else’s.

Try doing a scan after changing the “Complete Signal List:” to “7”. It will show over 300 PIDS.

Ok great thank you again!I won't be towing for a bit,But once I get alittle more familiar with data logging,I'll get ahold of you and give you some of my numbers from just driving around. It might be alittle while though.
