OK so here is the issue. 2006 F350 6.0 4x4, 92000 on the odi. Stock except exhaust. During this hot weather we have been having here down south, I have begun to have this issue. Under acceleration from stop starting at about 1600 RPM through 2100 RPM there is a noticeable miss/stutter. Boost is good as far as I can tell. Fuel Mileage has begun to drop. Oil has no worse than normal fuel smell. Oil change was 2500 Miles ago. Fuel Filters are 5000 Miles into them. All filters are Ford. Fuel treatment PM-22 with every tank. No water issues. Oh yea. No codes at all are stored.
It was a reader one of the guys had. Not sure of the brand. There were no codes when the Dealer checked it and then updated the flash. It will be going back to the Shop soon since its still under warrenty. Not sure if it makes a difference but under High boost 20-27 and heavy load up hill I can see blue and white smoke that seems to hang around. I guess I need to just explain all this to the Tech and cross fingers that he takes care of it before its over 100,000. There will be a Code reader ordered this week.
I noticed after rereading your post you are going to get something to read codes. Do yourself a huge favor and just buy the AutoEnginuity package from Clay at RiffRaff diesel. With that package and the AE you can do a lot more than just read codes. It will pay for itself quite quickly.

how much is this package?.i plan on getting a laptop soon.
i'm assuming it'll do a contribution test, but will it do a cut-out test, is it possible with a powerstroke?.thats a good buy though, might get my laptop sooner than later!.
AE won't do contribution on the 6.0L yet, but it's in the works. Right now all you can do is turn off one injector at a time and read contribution codes if they are there.
Not so much bad as disappointing. I needed the AE,it was in stock, I paid for next day shipping and it did not ship for 3 days. When I questioned the practice, I kinda got blown off.
