I did a search, but nobody seemed to have this same exact issue. Was stopped at a light yesterday, went to accelerate, and nothing. Truck idles fine, starts fine, just won't accelerate. Could it really be something as simple as the accelerator pedal!?!?
The IVS (Idle Validation Switch) contacts are normally open. They should close when you press the skinny peddle to send a signal to the PCM that you are off idle. Without that signal the PCM will ignore the throttle position signals. Dirty contacts of the IVS will give the symptoms you have described. You can try some contact cleaner spray to see if that helps before buying a new TPS.
I know exactly what your problem is! I had this happen last year, it will keep blowing that fuse - guaranteed - it will usually happen during turn. The issue is a wire that is rubbing within the steering column due to a bad wiper control/cruise control paddle on the steering column. You need to replace the controller on the right side of the column. Take the column apart and you can remove it pretty easy. I seem to remember that the controller was about $40.
I was completely dumbfounded, but do a search, and you'll find the info here.
I had the same issues minus the blown fuse...I just repaced the whole pedal assembly. If your SES light came on you need to get the code cleared, just some food for thought.
I have bine on here before,i have put 3 replacement pedals in my 2002 F250 PST.My truck worked fine the last couple times i drove it until i got rained on,twice. We also had a storm and i went outside to check to see if it worked and the throttle didn't work after the storm. It was fine the night before.Any ideas?

I would check to see if you have a leaky windshield.
