Overhead Console and Glove Compartment

Hey All,

I have an 2010 F250 Lariat with the cheesy overhead console. It has storage for glasses and an empty bin facing the rear, perfect for launching whatever is in there when you nail the gas. To me, it appears to be a Ford afterthought and has little to no utility/functionality. Has anyone got creative and modified it to actually do something?

Does anyone make a lock for the glove compartment? Seems that Ford doesn't offer an option?

I keep a cd case in the overhead. There is just enough lip inside the hole to generally keep it from coming out.

I have often wondered what was suppose to go just below that compartment as well.
