A few specs about the 434 kit.
Not sure how familiar everyone is with bob weights, but the 434 kit has a bob weight of about 1800 and is internally balanced. A stock SBC is 1980 bob weight. A 340 Mopar we just did had a bob weight of about 2100.
You know, those little LA Mopars are tough as heck but they are big and heavy with a somewhat small crankcase. If you punch one out to 4.08" and install a 4" stroker crank, you then have the cubes worth the weight on the nose of your car.
Humm, a cleveland stroker with a good block is looking like a possibility, has anyone started making aftermarket cleveland based blocks? (theres the boss blocks, but i'd want the cleveland deck height for the parts i have)
Also going with a 434 has got me thinking that i'd be able to put more into building a stronger block, i say this and the above statement as the thought of paddles/cut boggers and nitrous are rolling around in my head . . . . .
