Is this a misprint on my Ford.

Also what does D.S.O mean says 513720 above it.
What part is the serial number?

Number dummy has left the building.
Your VIN shows as being a '68 F250 4X4 built in April of '68 in Kansas City. The serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN, D19648. 360 engine.
131" wheelbase (standard longbed regular cab wheelbase)
Color code E is Sky View Blue
F260 means that it's an F250 4X4
DB81 means it's conventional cab with black vinyl interior
Tranny is an NP425 4-speed
Rear end is a Dana 60 4.10 ratio with Traction Loc.
DSO is for Domestic Special Order. Any more than two digits here means that the truck was a special order, not bought right off the dealer's lot. The first two digits, 51, stand for Denver which is where the truck was delivered to from the factory. Not sure exactly what the other four numbers mean in terms of special equipment, paint, trim or whatever...

I have the booklet that came with the pick-up and i think has the original owner names.
They lived in Golden,CO.
Shows they bought it in 9-3-68.
