I came across a 1965 f100 short bed, pretty solid. I did not have time to strip it, If it's still there Friday I'm going to strip it then. I did find:
1965 FORD TRUCK SHOP MANUALS VOLUME 1,2 AND 3
In near perfect condition. The first page does say reproduced under license #5005 with FORD MOTOR CO. FOMOCO is not responsible for product or content.
First printing September 1964
I think it's a cool find.
Any comments?

My dad and I scored a complete 66 custom cab, cab this weekend. We got the passengers door, all trim around the windshield rubber, the complete wiring harness, drivers front fender, padded dash, gas tank, seat belts, and battery box for for 240 bucks. It was last on the road in 92. Looks to be a restored truck with some cosmetic damage to the bed and grille. The floor has some very minor rot in the foot area only. My dads cab has rot in the crossmembers and cab corners. Should be easier to swap the cabs when the time comes.
gangstakr...I wonder if those are repop books...I had a repop of an old Buick one years ago...identical to the production one except binding was different...either way...awesome find...is the interior of this 65 blue...how is its firewall pad...email me when you get a chance...
Manuals look identical to the repops I have (except a little dirtier). I make scans and reprint pages that I take to the shop with me to help keep the books clean.
I bought mine from my truck's PO for $50. I think that's about half the new price for the repop manuals. Don't know what I'd do without them (and FTE, of course).
Love junkyard finds. There is a place a hour or so away called Richards, at one point it had over 3000 cars in it but is scaling back now and closing . But there is several 61-66"s in there and a fair amount are unibody's . Snagged a cab roof. inner fender, and headlight trim all for a fair price.
Hey just got off the phone with richard at Richards junk yard in NC, what a nice man and knows his stuff. He said they are not closing, instead re-launching bigger and better he said. Here's his info:classiccar@rtmc.net
I just got back from looking at the 65. the cab is still there. That's it. The front was cut off about a foot from the front of truck. Sawsall took care of that. The bed was gone and part of the frame in the back. Motor tranny gone. No bumpers no steering wheel no inside wiring no gauges nothing but the cab.
You got to get to them fast. The only thing I would have liked was the core support. It did have a 65 steel grill on it. That's all gone. Oh well there's always tomorrow.
