unfortunately your'e probably right ubereal2, but I just don't see how any jury in their right mind who could give money to a guy who was stealing gas, and or braking into cars. kinda like the stories you hear about someone falling through someones roof while robbing the place and falling on a knife, or the sword collection.
Just thought I see if anyone has any opinions on the cheap bulldog alarm I just got (for $20 after discount). It works when you either bump the truck or open the door (once the dome light turns on). Sounds kindof cheesy when it goes off, more like an ambulance, but it works and it beats the $700+ for getting the Viper installed. I still waiting on the cameras to come in, cant wait for that.

Well, I haven't had anybody break into my truck, but I have had some bikes stolen, and vandalized once. I bought a camera from Fry's and installed it over my garage. I hooked it up to my dvd recorder and put in an 8 hr dvd. That was years ago and I haven't had any problems since.
Maybe the sight of the cameras have deterred, I dunno.
Maybe I missed it, how did your truck get broken into? I heard that f150s are easy to break into through the door handle and there is some kinda plate you can buy to prevent it?
I have no idea how they got in...only thing I can see is some little chips at the top of the door like something was stuck down in. Although, I don't now if that was already there, I haven't really looked that close until this happened.
Sometimes its better NOT to get it back. Years ago I had my Dodge Ram stolen. A week later it was found...every panel smashed/dented (except roof), rear tires that were new were burned down to steel cords, interior full of smoke and burns, rear end went out a month later and Insurance wouldn't even cover any of that! Truck was never the same!
Well I got my cameras and was able to install just one where I park my truck...and after reviewing some of the recordings, I think I got a possible suspect or a few.
I took a pic with my cell phone off the screen, but the kids actually walked through my yard towards my back door, BUT luckly my wife forget to let my litte jack russle in the house when she went to work and he chased them away (which my neighbor heard the barking also). They came back a half hour later and stopped and pointed at the camera. What would you do??? I think if my dog wasn't out they might have tried breaking in my house! AND they must be watching, because it was about a half hour after the wife left and about 2 hours before I get home from work(time is not right on the pic).
