I have a set of those on my workbench. Hopefully I can get them installed next month at BillyBob's GTG!

hey guys...just to keep you updated i received the shackles in the mail. I am waiting for my next day off from work...which won't be til aug 2nd...I will be installing the shackles that day and will be ordering the tires on the 3rd. in the mean time i have replaced the endlinks and sway bar bushings, blacked out the front bumper and grill, and blacked out the rear bumper...I will get pics up on here as soon as all is said and done. I have one question though on the shackle bolt what size is it...i was able to get a 7/8" socket around the one side and the other seems it will need at least a 1" socket...any thoughts and thanks for all your help

I have had the shackles on my truck for going on three years now, with a snow plow during the winter for two of those years and have not had any problems with them. You should be good to go.

Has anyone used those mini spring packs? Not sure which way I want to go with a level kit. shackles would be a faster install but the mini springs seem like a good compromise betwwen actually adding a leaf and changing the ride the quality.

For the rear shackles, you need a 24mm and a 21mm sockets to remove them. Preferably a 6-point socket to get a good grip.

I was thinking about going with the RC shackle kit for my 99 because I already have 3 springs up front and I didn't want to change my ride quality. My question is... when you get the simple rear shackle only setup, does that affect anything like the axel orientation? Does this damage the front drive shaft? I like the RC because it comes with a front fixed mount for the front of the spring. Seems like a better kit. Also if I put a shackle lift on my front end, will I need a adjustible track bar or sway bar?

I think for just 2" you don't need to worry about driveshafts or track bar issues.

I was also curious if anyone has installed the "mini spring pack"? I have a kit sitting in my garage that came with the truck. Is it hard to install? Did you like the results?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks
