Fuel Tank ?

Putting camper special body on 4WD frame. Both 73's. Original tank is too wide because frame is wider in back than 4WD frame.

Now, looking at LMC and DC...their measurements match mine which wont fit.

Ford didn't mount the tank below the frame did they? Or maybe 73's were in cab only?

Anyway I need to put a rear frame mounted tank in my truck and have any of you folks done this or maybe have a vendor.

I suppose I could have a fuel cell made but that seems like alot of work for this hotrod.

Thanks, Grin

4WD frames are narrower than 2WD. That's why the tank won't fit. One recent poster here said he used the tank by turning it sideways and fabricating new mounts.

I believe some have used early Mustang tanks and also Bronco II tanks.
