I'm new here

Hey everyone,

I just got an '02 Expedition XLT and found this place. I also belong to and I am a moderator at ClubLexus. I just wanted to say what's up and ask a few quick questions (I did a search and didn't really come up with much)...

1)I am planning on getting a pushbar/brush guards leaning towards WAAG, any other recommendations or issues I should know about the WAAG?

2)Foglights for the pushbar...PIAA - round or rectangular? Round seems to be most popular, but in keeping with the front end lighting theme of the Expy I'm leaning rectangular, any thoughts? also considering an additional set in the openings near the factory fogs, to the immediate left/right of the lic. plate bracket. Can the stock alternator handle the extra lights? In my '93 Explorer I had to upgrade to the 130 amp alternator, with only 2 sets of aux lights.

3)I was also wondering about the rear seat entertainment system - my dealer tells me there is a set of input jacks, but they are not readily visible, anyone know for sure? I f they are buried on the back of the VCP I was thinking of adding/cutting out a panel on the center console that would expose the jacks to make it easier to hook-up the DVD player/PS2? (thanks to the board I got that tip for an easy/less expensive DVD upgrade). Obviously I'd dress it up to make it looked finished (Home Theater is one of my hobbies, so getting the jacks wired up and "finished" will be time well spent) Anone try this before that can highlight any pitfalls or things they would've done differently?

4)I thought it would be cool to have a "TRUCK" horn for such a large SUV. I was thinking about a Hadley under hood air-horn kit, but have reservations over the amount of sapce that might be required. I already checked my local 4x4 place and they said it's a tight squeeze, and as a result takes a lot of time to install. This unfortunately makes it too expensive for the added novelty (for me anyway), I may consider doing it myself, but wanted to see if anyone has done this before again to get the "benchmark" befor proceeding on my own.

Okay so maybe the questions aren't so quick.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi! Welcome to the site.

1) WAAG is supposed to make pretty good stuff. I don't have that brand, so I can't give any first-hand experience.

2) Shape is a personal preference- get what YOU like. As for juice, I have run a set of 110W lights and a set of fog lights in addition to the factory headlights (no factory fogs). No problems with the power, but I don't do this on a regular basis either.

3) Can't help you- ours is a "fleet" model with 0 fancy items.

4) I have no idea how large the system is, but I bet you could make it fit- may have to relocate some stuff, but it's not that cramped under the hood.
