97 expedition...check engine light, with it running rough...at idle..feels like it wants to stall...idle speed fluctuates, the computer said right front o2 sensor..replaced it...light comes back on...same rough running....same reading from the computer...have put in two new o2 sensors...any suggestions on what else to try?? anyone think new plugs, or tune up cure the problem perhaps?? thank you....
There is a TSB on the right front Oxygen Sensor for water dripping out of the A/C box flow tube onto the Oxygen Sensor wire Harness, We repaired 2 of these by using a piece of rubber tubing directing the water flow away from the O2 Harness, check out the TSB, F150 also has the Bulletin, half way Stalling though I am not sure that is the problem, I have researched mine for 32,000 miles on a half way stall problem, to problem not resolved. Mine wants to shut down after a decel and getting back into it,(no engine power, will not go) after vehicle has been run for 25 minutes. I believe it is a computer malfunction software problem. Ford dealer agrees.
Hope this helps, Electric1
ive had the fix your talking about done already...the ac drain, drips right on the right front o2 sensor....causing it to mess up...they just put a longer tube on it and position it further away from the o2 sensor....thank you though......
Rem,
Since your Ex. is coding out an O2 sensor fault, can you give us the code in which it is coding in the vehicle ECM. I would gladly take some time and investigate it for you and let you know what I find or which way to go for the repair. Electric1
