Dank4120 - I checked out your M250 photos - the truck looks great and I'm guessing the price was right? I've seen that colour on mid-sixties Fords/Mercs - it'll be gorgeous when you get to it. In the meantime, imagine throwing a battery into a vehicle that was parked for 20+ years and being able to fire it up! Gotta love that obsolete technology...
I also appreciate the interior photos - that's where my truck has been fooled around with a lot, and an original example such as yours is good to see. It appears that the door interiors were plain metal, although possibly with the custom cab they had some kind of fancier liner. Whatever it was, the one in my truck is not correct.
My radio fits pretty perfectly into the dash hole, so it might be original - the hole seems to be! I expect the radio was disconnected to put in the CD player - have yet to investigate the under-dash wiring. Be nice to get the radio working if possible.
Thanks again for the info! I hope you'll continue posting photos as you get work done.

Got: I'm with ya all the way.More than you know cuz I too am waiting to get my workshop built.Soo much rain! We got the footing dug and while waiting on the concrete 10 inches of water appeared in the hole.I'm planning a frame off for the m100.Although it's a sand and white,I'm leaning to red and white.Well good luck again. There's so much help and fine folks on here it should be an enjoyable task.

GOT: Thanks, I did qualify for "grandson-in-law" pricing, that's for sure! But by the time I got out of the brake, tire, and muffler shops, I had four times the cash put into it! My truck is Twilight Turquoise, Color Code MM, only available on Canadian Ford and Mercs Trucks for '65, according to our friends here on FTE. You're correct, this color comes up on '65 Mustangs and other cars, I'm assuming for both Canada and the US.

Your radio install looks good, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be original. The original Ford truck radio bezel came right off the unit. There were holes punched or drilled in the dash for volume, tuner, and the pin that moved the bezel tuning indicator left and right. I'm not an expert on these radios, I have never seen a real one, just pictures. Someone probably has better dash pics and one of the radio too?

Have you seen ms_michelle's '65 Ford Ranger? It's at the end of that big thread of truck pictures. There are some excellent shots of the interior, doors, very similiar to what your Custom Cab would probably have looked like, except for the bucket seats, carpet, and console.

Have you checked out the "Ford Trucks 1957-72" group on Flikr? There are lots of great photos, check out "Custom_Cabs" '65 Ford. You might catch him at a BC car show, he seems to get around. When my truck grows up, I want it to look just like his!!
