I have a 2003 ford f350 6.0. I took it to the dealership the other day to get a icp sensor because mine went out. While I was there the service guy informed me I had a recall for a reflash on my truck so I set up the an appointment for last thursday to get the truck reflashed. Now mind you I have a quadzilla quadpack programmer on it. I brought the truck in to get flashed and they informed me they would need to disconnect the programmer which I agreed too. About 2 hours later with reflashed completed they told me the truck was good too go. I left the dealership and noticed that the power wasnt the same, like it was knocked down a notch or two. Then today I figured well I'll clean my egr valve. I cleaned it up and put it back in. About 1 hour later i had to run to the store, on my way i noticed that it was running poorly still. I came to a stop sign and the truck shut completely off and would not turn back on. It would turn over but not start. I had the truck towed to ford and dropped off right infront of their bay door. I didnt have a problem except for the icp sensor before the reflash and the icp sensor has already been put in. Does anyone know what it could possibly be?

Reason: need help
so ford said that i possibly have a hpop that has gone bad or a ipr valve thats gone bad they are running a diagnostic on it. but they said the flash had nothing to do with it...i dont understand how the truck was fine before the flash and after it just started running sluggish. but i will update when i know more..
I am not too "up" on tuners, but from what I have read, you need to put it back to stock programming before disconnecting and flashing or it can cause issues.
yeah i appriciate the knowledge though..even if its too late..itll definatly help out in the future...this is a great site with people very knowledgable in the in's and out's of these trucks...yall helped me with fixing several things on my truck now...and to that i am indebt to y'all.
should i just have ford fix the problem(hpop or ipr, if thats what it turns out to be) or is it something that i can do?
so i just got back from ford....lookin at 1838.00...needs a hpop and ipr sensor. they said it ws missing on #7 cylinder too and it may or will need more....also may have to remove valve covers to dead head pump...
oh quick question may or may not be related to issue at hand...i bought this truck about a month ago and when i bought it there was a CEL on...the dealer said that it was a sensor in the glove box? well when i picked up the truck the CEL was gone and hasnt come back....what i guess im asking is there a sensor in the glove box area that would make the CEL turn on?
Remove vale covers to dead head pump? I've never heard that one before.
Had the truck been starting harder when warm prior to the reflash? That's a sure fire sign of a hpop leak.
yeah never heard that either...and when it was warm yeah i replaced the icp cause it was leakin out the sensor and it was still doing it so i figured the hpop...and the glove box thing i looked at them like they were crazy but figured since it didnt come back it was no worries...
I think you should drive it up to Dallas and let Cheezit take a look at it before dropping that much coin on a guess. Just my $.02.
i would try and get in contact with and do that but the thing wont move, its sittin in the lot down at ford right now....but im talking to the place i bought the truck from seeing if i can work something out with them
