Broken Hood Release Cable

The cable on my 1993 F350 XLT has broken. What is the easiest way to release the hood so I can get it open?

If its not broken where the hood latch is i would cut the cable as far away from the latch as you can going though the grill , then trim to plastic off & pull the cable with some vise grips ....Lew

if you have the stock grill you can fit your hand in there enough with a screwdriver or something to pull the release. Ive had to do it before

Thanks I was able to get up in there and get the cable. I ran it through the grill to be able to pull the cable. How much hassle to make it right so it's back the way it should be? Any idea?
