I just came back from Autozone and saw that they had the Motorcraft 5 quart diesel motor oil on sale for $9.99. Just a little FYI

 

Was that a local deal? I don't see it listed on the circular

 

I didnt see it in the circular either. It may be an unadvertised price.

 

I'll check my local store later when I am out and about. I just changed my oil thursday with the 5 qt jugs from walmart for $12 each, but will buy some for next time at $9

 

My local NAPA has 5 gallon buckets of Rotella 15W40 for $50. They also had a filter sale and I got a 6637 (Napa Gold) for $26.

 

prices must be comming down...my delo 400 is $10 a gal

 

Does it hurt the motor to go from Rotella to Delo to Motorcraft as long as you stick with the proper viscosity? I usually use rotella but i'm always looking for a deal when buying oil

 

Doesn't hurt it a bit.

BTW, the motorcraft oil is in 5 qt jugs, not gallons, so it is a really good deal.

 

i dont think it will hurt anything...I like to stick with one brand..delo is a synthetic blended 15/40 oil.thats why its a little more $$...oil test on my truck with stock filtering say I'm good for 12000 miles so I stick with it and change at 8000ish depending on what I did with my truck in them miles..in the heat the oil doesnt run off of my stick....truck has alway's started in 30 bellow weather with no romps...we also run it in out big trucks with no trouble..but thats just me..others have trouble and do things differntly..

Where you get that oil Ron?

 

at a local parts shop up here but you can get it at wal mart...not sure on there price...
