Dealer Tech Question

Regarding all the threads I've read mentioning PCM update/reflashs, and/or TSBs. Is there a policy from Ford that dealerships check vehicle VINs when they come into the dealer shop, to check if updates and/or TSB/recall repairs have been done or are needed on a vehicle?

Updates are not usually checked to see if needed unless there is a driveability complaint. There is always a slim change if you are really on good terms or related to the service department personel that you might experience them checking if there are updates for your vehicle when you go in for service, but not likely. Ford's official policy is "complaint driven." and nearly all dealers follow that policy.
